Holistic Financial Planning in Charleston, SC
Because bold futures are built with more than just investment returns.
Your financial life doesn’t exist in silos, and neither should your financial plan. Your business decisions affect your taxes, your taxes affect your investments, and your investments shape what’s possible for your family. At Bellerophon, we build one integrated plan that connects all of it — so every decision moves you toward the life you actually want, not just a bigger account balance. As an independent, fee-only fiduciary in Charleston, the only thing we’re paid to optimize is you.

Why It Works
As an independent, fee-only fiduciary, we’re paid by you — never by commissions or fund companies. That means the plan we build is the plan that’s right for you, full stop. No products to push, no quotas to hit — just clear, coordinated advice that adapts as your life changes and is reviewed with you regularly so it never goes stale. It’s financial planning the way we’d want it for our own families.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between financial planning and investment management?
Investment management is one piece of financial planning. A financial plan looks at the whole picture — your income, taxes, retirement, insurance, estate, and goals — and coordinates your investments within it. We do both, as one integrated service.
Are you a fiduciary, and how are you paid?
Yes. As an independent, fee-only fiduciary, we’re legally bound to act in your best interest, and we’re paid only by you — never through commissions or product sales. That removes the conflicts baked into commission-based advice.
Do I need a certain amount of money to work with you?
We work best with business owners, executives, and professionals who have real complexity: equity comp, a business, multiple accounts, or a high income. If your financial life has outgrown a DIY approach, it’s worth a conversation.
Do you coordinate with my CPA and attorney?
Absolutely. Good planning doesn’t happen in a vacuum. We work alongside your tax and legal professionals (or can introduce you to ours) so your plan, your taxes, and your estate documents all point in the same direction.
How often will we meet?
Typically we meet throughout the year and any time a major decision or life change comes up. A plan is a living document, not a one-time PDF — we review and adjust it as your life evolves.
What areas do you serve?
We’re based in Charleston, SC and work with clients across the Lowcountry, including Mount Pleasant, Daniel Island, and Summerville, as well as virtually across the country.
